Compassionate Connections

A bold, brave & compassionate 8-week journey into healing

Starting in October, we are delighted to be offering the Compassionate Connections course at Shore. The course is being run by Bronwyn Tutty & Johanna Lind.

What is it?

This is not your usual Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) course. It’s evidence-based and grounded in psychology, but also fun, creative, playful, and deeply connected.

Across 8 weeks, we blend teaching, group sharing, embodiment, art, movement, and visualisation to bring compassion to life — in a way that sticks. Expect learning, laughing, processing, and re-connecting to yourself in a group that feels both safe and energising.

The Approach

We use the science-backed principles of CFT to:

  • Understand the brain and how it keeps us stuck
  • Explore emotional regulation and the inner critic
  • Reconnect with the body through movement and creativity
  • Build self-compassion and courage
  • Create lasting strategies for managing anxiety and low mood

Who is it for?

Women who are just beginning their healing journey. It is ideal for those who:

  • Experience anxiety, low mood, or emotional disconnection
  • Feel tired of holding everything together
  • Struggle with perfectionism and self-doubt
  • Feel like they’ve lost their spark
  • Are interested in wellbeing but don’t know where to start
  • Miss feeling playful and connected

This course is especially suited to mums and caregivers who want to shift from surviving to thriving — and finally turn some care inward.

What you will gain

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand how their brain and body respond to stress
  • Feel more centred, calm, and connected
  • Have practical tools and strategies they can use every day
  • Grow in self-compassion and confidence
  • Learn how to sit with emotions without being overwhelmed
  • Leave with a creative, compassionate toolkit for life
  • Feel part of a like-minded, supportive community

Each weekly session includes

  • Teaching and group learning
  • Workbook exercises
  • Embodiment practices (gentle movement, breath, art, sound)
  • Sharing circles (always optional)
  • Creative processes to access new insight

The space will be safe, gentle, brave, creative, playful & fun. Everything is optional – you can just show up and be yourself
