Play Therapy

A Play Therapist provides the expertise, space and time to allow a child or young person to express themselves through play. Play therapy is beneficial for young children through to teenagers, including young people with additional needs.

Our Play Therapist will follow your child’s needs and design a toolkit especially for them, based on their interests and developmental stage.

Sometimes children do not have the words to express how they feel and so Play Therapy provides a safe environment for children to express their complex emotions, anxieties or traumatic experiences through play.  This is done in lots of ways, including drawing and painting, water and clay, sand tray and miniatures, guided imagery and relaxation techniques, drama and puppetry, poetry, movement and music.

A written report is provided to parents and school educators following completion of therapy.

Fees: £85 per session
