Wondering whether ADHD or Autism may be part of the picture?
A first appointment for people who aren’t yet sure what they’re looking at — and want to talk to someone who is.
15 minutes, by phone, with one of our clinicians. No cost, no obligation.

What a Navigation Call is
A short, free phone conversation with one of our clinicians — a chance to ask questions before you commit to anything.
People use it to understand what an assessment actually involves, to work out whether to start with our Preliminary Assessment, to ask about timescales and costs, or to check we’re the right service for what they’re dealing with.
It isn’t an assessment, and no clinical opinion is given on the call — that’s what the Preliminary Assessment is for. But if it’s clear we’re not the right people to help, we’ll tell you that, and point you somewhere more suitable

If you would rather go straight to the Preliminary Assessment
Some people already know they want to move forward. If that’s you, our Preliminary Assessment is the first step — and you don’t need to book a Navigation Call first.
It’s a 90-minute, face-to-face appointment at our Edinburgh clinic, designed to establish whether a full diagnostic assessment is the right next step — and if so, which one.
Before the Appointment
We send questionnaires to complete in advance. Your clinician reviews these beforehand, so the appointment itself is spent talking rather than filling in forms.
At the Appointment
90 minutes with an experienced clinician, with time to discuss experiences across the whole lifespan. We screen for both ADHD and autism, not one or the other.
Where a child or young person is being assessed, they attend the appointment alongside a parent or carer.
Afterwards
We give you the outcome of the screening and talk through the options. If the screening suggests the difficulties aren’t related to ADHD or autism, we’ll explain that — and no full diagnostic assessment is needed
Our aim is to help you make an informed decision, not to assume a full diagnostic assessment is always the answer.
What it Costs
The Preliminary Assessment is £240. It covers the preliminary appointment only and is not deducted from the cost of a full diagnostic assessment.
If a full diagnostic assessment is recommended, our fees are:
| Full Diagnostic Assessment | Adults | Children & Young People |
| ADHD | £1110 | £1300 |
| Autism | £1510 | £1710 |
| ADHD & Autism (AUDHD) | £2160 | £2700 |

Or complete our referral form and we’ll come back to you.
