Trauma-Informed Services at Shore Psychology

At Shore Psychology, we offer expert support, training, and consultancy to help organisations adopt Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP). Our approach helps create safe, trusting environments that reduce the risk of re-traumatisation while empowering both staff and service users.

Why Choose to adopt a Trauma-Informed Approach?

  • Recognising the prevalence of trauma in the population and the impact it has on brain development. A high proportion of people you work with in your organisation are likely to have been impacted by trauma, with statistics showing two-thirds of children in Scotland face traumatic events like domestic violence or abuse.
  • Promote recovery: TIP fosters resilience and growth for trauma survivors. It also recognises not everyone who experiences trauma will have trauma reactions.
  • Support staff: Reduce burnout and improve wellbeing for teams working with trauma-affected individuals.
  • Improve outcomes: Enhance service quality and organisational efficiency.
