Me

I have 13 years of experience working in the NHS, firstly as an Occupational Therapist and now as a Clinical Psychologist. Currently, I am a Clinical Psychologist in an NHS Cancer Psychology Service, supporting adult patients with a diagnosis of cancer and their family members. My previous roles have included working in community and inpatient mental health services for all ages, including child and adolescent, adult and older adult mental health teams.

I have a special interest in supporting people with the emotional impact of having a physical health condition and strive to bring a compassionate and personalised approach to my work. I am also interested in supporting people with learning disabilities to access support, both for their psychological and physical health (my doctoral thesis was on physical health inequalities for adults with learning disabilities). Finally, I have experience of supporting parents of children (young and adult) with neurodiversity, along with experience of supporting adults with neurodiversity who are experiencing emotional difficulties.My Child/Young Person
