What is Safety and Stabilisation?
Safety and Stabilisation is a two-day training programme designed to develop the skills and competencies needed to deliver Safety and Stabilisation interventions as part of a phase-based approach for people affected by prolonged and repeated trauma.
There is a national shortage in training provision in this area and we are delighted to be offering high quality Safety and Stabilisation training which meets governance standards.

Continuing Clinical Support
Follow-up clinical coaching is part of the governance for effectively delivering Safety & Stabilisation.
It helps develop skills and provides ongoing support.
Learn and develop Safety and Stabilisations Skills
Day 1:
- Understanding the impact of prolonged and repeated trauma, including childhood trauma
- Recognising trauma responses, triggers and states of physiological arousal
- Developing skills in providing trauma psychoeducation to clients
- Self-care and the role of reflective supervision in trauma work
Day 2:
- Attending to the therapeutic relationship and maintaining boundaries
- Planning and delivering safety and stabilisation interventions
- Recognising and managing risk
- Identifying the need for further support
What is included
Two training days and practical resources to support delivery.
Training fee: £215 + VAT per person
Continuing clinical coaching
Participants who go on to deliver the intervention must book at least three coaching sessions.
Training plus three initial coaching sessions: £270 + VAT per person
Follow up Coaching
Ongoing coaching is mandatory for participants who go on to deliver the intervention. It helps participants develop their skills and supports safe, well-governed practice.

Each online session lasts 1.5 hours.
• 3 coaching sessions: £55 + VAT
• 6 coaching sessions: £110 + VAT
• 9 coaching sessions: £165 + VAT
• 12 coaching sessions: £200 + VAT

All coaching is facilitated by Clinical Psychologists trained in clinical supervision and Safety & Stabilisation.
