Laura Quigley - Occupational Therapist at Shore Psychology

Laura Quigley

Occupational Therapist

Mental health has always been a passion of mine, and I strongly believe that the right support should be accessible to everyone when they need it. I take a holistic, whole-system approach to care, recognising the importance of understanding the person as a whole rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or presenting difficulty. By working collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, I aim to promote recovery, independence, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

I am also passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practice and value the different ways people think, learn, communicate, and experience the world. I recognise that neurodivergent clients bring strengths and perspectives, and I am committed to providing support that is respectful, inclusive, and tailored to their individual needs.

Clinical Experience

I have three years of experience working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health, neurological, and sensory processing challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked across a variety of settings, including forensic mental health services, adult mental health services, older adult mental health, and adult neurodevelopmental assessment services.

Currently, I work within adult neurodevelopmental assessment services, contributing to assessments and supporting clients to better understand their strengths, challenges, and support needs.

I have a particular interest in Ayres Sensory Integration® and neurodiversity-affirming practice, and I am passionate about supporting clients to understand how sensory processing impacts their daily lives, occupations, and overall wellbeing.
