Sarah Mawson
Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology
“I am a warm, compassionate and understanding individual who feels deeply privileged to journey with children, young people and families in their therapeutic work. It matters to me that people have the space, time and professionalism afforded to them as they bravely seek support, assessment, understanding and ultimately being able to step more towards all that is really important to them.“
I have 20 years of experience in working with Children and families, the last 11 of which have been as a Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Lothian. I continue to work in the NHS along with my work in Shore Psychology. I am an accredited Interpersonal psychotherapy practitioner (IPT) and I draw on a range of therapeutic models in my work including Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
